Sheng Huaren, vice-chairman of the 10th National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, paid a visit to China National Chemical Corp (ChemChina), on August 28, where he commented on the company’s development since its very beginning and spoke of its impressive performance. He also visited the Chemical Industry Museum in the company of the general manager, Ren Jianxin.
Sheng took a close look at the exhibits and spoke with the personnel there. He talked at length about his own experience in the chemical industry and the many feelings he had for it, and, in praising ChemChina’s performance, pointed to how demanding it could be for a company to take on the task of building a museum that portrayed the entire industry. Sheng went on to compliment those involved for their achievement and wished them success in working for greater prosperity.
ChemChina’s general manager, Ren Jianxin, who was also on hand, thanked Sheng, on behalf of all the staff, for the visit and the recognition he gave the company. Ren said that they were determined to increase the corporation’s innovations and to accelerate the management reform process through a structural adjustment to live up to the country’s and the leaders’ expectations.
